Banach – Product design & brand
Goal: Establish a distinctive brand identity for a newly founded startup in a competitive market, and create the company’s product line from the ground up while considering the newly created brand.
Banach started as a startup, dedicated to top-notch sports betting solutions. It empowered partners with advanced technology and models, fostering autonomy in trading. It’s innovation fueled growth in competitive markets, aiming to be the prime quantitative product supplier. In March 2021, Pointsbet acquired Banach for $43 million.
Banach presented a clean slate, devoid of an existing brand, color palette, or identity. I was tasked with building the brand, crafting the product line, defining the organizational values, and influencing every touchpoint. Undoubtedly, significant challenges lay ahead, and the following outlines some major initiatives I spearheaded.

Build A Bet Widget
Build A Bet Widget – Goal: The aim was conceive and construct a customizable white label widget capable of effortlessly integrating into a diverse range of betting company applications, ensuring a versatile and tailored user experience.
Banach aimed to create a versatile Build A Bet widget, integrating smoothly into diverse betting companies’ interfaces. They iterated rigorously, enhancing functionality, user experience, and visuals. I’ve condensed this dynamic development journey into screens, showcasing widget evolution, progress, and user feedback.
In my UX research, I analysed market competitors to assess their pros and cons. This insight guided our widget’s versatile multi-platform design. Studying their features pinpointed areas to enhance our offering, providing a superior user experience. This research shaped our innovative product design, meeting user needs effectively.

Trading Platform
Goal: To create a market leading sports betting trading platform for companies to set prices and odds for multiple sports and games within the industry.
The company’s founders, predominantly quantitative analysts with prior experience in various trading platforms, ventured into the market by crafting their bespoke trading platform to tackle perceived issues. It gained adoption by companies like Stars Group and Fox, eventually becoming Pointsbet’s default platform.
I collaborated remotely for two years to create Banach’s trading platform with traders, product managers, and engineers. We embraced Lean UX, prioritized user feedback, and used Slack for quick iterations, resulting in an intuitive interface for setting sports prices and odds, adaptable to market changes.
